5 Weight Loss Tips

If you are like me and most people I know you are always looking around for the best weight loss tips and hoping to come across something new.  While these weight loss tips are probably not new to you they are some of the best I’ve come across.

1) Meal prep

You know the saying that “You can’t workout a bad diet”? Well it’s true! You can spend hours in the gym but if you are just grabbing fast food and donuts after then you can’t expect to see weight loss. That’s why meal prepping is so perfect for people who are to busy or lazy to cook everyday. By just taking a few hours on the weekend to cook and divide your meals for the week you’ll stay on track and won’t have any excuses to grab fast food on your way home.

2) Drink Enough Water

I know you have probably heard this a million times already but it’s easy to mistake thirst for hunger. So keep a bottle of water with you at all times and make it a habit to drink it regularly instead of running to the kitchen for snacks every time you start feeling hungry. Especially when you know you’ve already had enough to eat.

Tip: If you have a hard time drinking water throughout the day try adding a straw to your water bottle or cup. I know it seems silly but for some reason it’s easier to drink water when using a straw. I noticed that I drink a lot more water throughout the day when I have a straw and I think it’s because it’s easy to just pick it up and drink instead of having to constantly take off the lid. #Lazygirlproblems

3) Get Enough Seep

I know it’s easier said than done but it’s important to make a point to get enough sleep. Shoot for at least 7-8 hours a night. It’ll prevent you from indulging in those late night cravings and give you more energy throughout the day.

4) Don’t Drink Calories 

Soda and most fruit juices are just empty calories and when your trying to lose weight it’s best to keep them out of your diet. Yes even diet soda is a no! Opt for water and tea instead. If you start getting bored of water then try adding lemon or fruit to add some flavor.

5) Brush Your Teeth An Hour After Dinner 

Late night snacking can hinder weight loss when done regularly. If you want to nix those cravings try brushing your teeth an hour after dinner. The fresh minty taste of tooth paste will keep you from craving and indulging in unnecessary late night snacks which will help keep you on track.

Tip: Drinking mint tea after dinner has the same effect and will help keep you full too.
