Sticking to a healthy lifestyle can be difficult when you have a busy schedule. That’s why its important to set yourself up for success by having easy and healthy options that you can just grab and go when you’re in a rush. Here is a list of some healthy and easy on the go snacks that will help you stay on track without to much preparation.
Protein bars are healthy and easy, just throw them in your purse or gym bag and go. But not all protein bars are created equal. I personally would recommend RX bars because they are tasty and have limited ingredients. This is great because you know exactly what you are putting in your body. My personal favorite is the Chocolate Sea Salt flavor but Amazon carries variety packs if you want to test out different flavors.
Almonds are such a staple for me. They are easy and delicious. I prefer to stick with the unsalted variety.
Not only are pistachios delicious but also a great source of protein and healthy fats. You can also buy these in 100 calorie packs to throw in your bag to eat while you are out and about or at the office.
Tuna pouches are great because they are portable and you don’t need to drain them. They come in a variety of flavors so they are great on their own or easy to toss on some salad or crackers. I always have some on hand to grab for a snack at work. My favorite flavor is Lemon Pepper.
Seaweed snacks are yummy when you just want something different. They are not as crunchy as chips but they have a great flavor without all the carbs and calories that regular potato chips have.
Protein shakes are a healthy and easy on the go snack and they are perfect for after the gym. The Premier Protein shakes are my favorite. I personally love the chocolate flavor but I know they also come in vanilla, caramel, bananas & cream, and strawberries & cream. I usually throw one in my gym bag to drink right after my workout.
Note: If you are vegan then the plant based Orgain Protein Shakes in vanilla bean are a good option. They also have the plant based protein powder Orgain Organic Protein in vanilla bean which is great in smoothies.
