Best Face Masks For Acne-Prone Skin

If you have acne-prone skin like me then you understand how frustrating it is to keep your skin under control.  In my ongoing battle to clear up my skin and prevent future breakouts I have discovered how beneficial some face masks can be. They are such a great way to help get out the pesky pore clogging impurities that normal cleansing and toning just can’t reach on its own. Whenever I feel like my skin is acting up one of the firsts things I do is whip out one of my favorite face masks to help get my skin back under control. Check out the list below for my recommendations.

Yes to Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Mud Mask – This face mask really deep cleans pores without over drying your skin. My skin is always really soft and clean after I use this.

Biore Self-Heating One Minute Mask – This mask is meant for use in the shower. You just rub it on your skin for one minute and then rinse off. It feels weird at first because it heats up on your skin but its really great at clearing up congested skin, especially stubborn blackheads. Anyone with acne prone skin that has problems getting rid of blackheads should really check this product out.

Glamglow Supermud Activated Charcoal Treatment – This mask really draws out deep down dirt and oil in your pores. I can definitely tell the difference in my skin after I use this mask but just be careful because it’s a very harsh mask and can dry out the skin.

L’Oréal Paris Pure-Clay Mask Detox & Brighten – This mask leaves my skin feeling clean, less congested, and smooth. It’s not overly drying but still does a good job at clearing out pores.

L’Oréal Paris Pure-Clay Mask Exfoliate And Refine Pores – I like to use this mask whenever my skin is looking rough and clogged. It gently exfoliates the skin and helps relieve congested pores. This mask has never irritated or dried out my skin.

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask – This mask comes in a powder form and you just add water or apple cider vinegar to a small amount each time you use the mask. This mask is very strong, you kind of feel it pulling on your skin as it tightens but it works wonders. It gets out all the pesky dirt, oil and blackheads that are deep within your pores. But it is very drying so I only use it every once in a while.

These products have helped tremendously on keeping my skin clear and have never caused my skin any type of irritation. I would always recommend doing a patch test on a small area of your skin first before you do a full face application of any product. You never know if your skin will have a reaction to something and what works for some people might not work for others. I hope you found this list helpful.  Let me know in the comments what your go to face mask is for treating acne!

Thanks for a very insightful review. I love face masks but not everything works well for acne-prone skin. Helps me a lot! Thanks! I wish you could make more reviews like this.
