Some times, no matter how hard we try to keep our skin clear with a proper skincare routine, healthy diet, and plenty of water, some breakouts still manage to break through the surface to ruin our day. That’s where spot treatments come to the rescue. Though they won’t magically make your breakout disappear overnight, they can certainly help heal them faster. After lots of testing I have found a few treatments that seem to help heal my breakouts faster. Here are five spot treatments that have worked for me.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion, 1 fl. oz

I know this one is probably in everyone’s skincare favorites but that’s because it’s that good. This really helps heal and reduce redness faster than other spot treatments that I have tried. Plus it doesn’t leave my skin really flaky and irritated.

Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion, 1 oz.

This product is great for healing cystic acne. It really helps sooth and reduce the size of breakouts A LOT quicker. I also like to dab some of this on areas I start to feel a breakout come in because it helps stop it from forming. Just note that this product can be drying so use is sparingly.

COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch, 24 Patches

If you haven’t tried these yet than you are missing out. These are seriously the best for healing whiteheads. You just put the little patch on a breakout and all the gunk will come out onto the patch over time. It’s really weird but great for people who have a tendency to pick at their skin. I like to put mine on over night but they are clear so you could probably get away with leaving them on your skin during the day.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil

This product does a great job of healing small breakouts without over drying the skin. I just put a little on a cotton swap and apply it directly to the breakout.

De La Cruz Sulfur Ointment Acne Medication

This product contains sulfur which I have found works really well on cystic breakouts. If  salicylic or benzoyl peroxide acne treatments don’t seem to work for you then I would suggest giving this a try. It’s very drying so make sure to only use it as a spot treatment.

These products don’t clear my skin overnight or keep my skin from ever breaking out but they have definitely helped my skin tremendously. I would suggest you patch test any products before using them on more than one spot to make sure they don’t irritate your skin. Hope you found this list helpful and let me know in the comments below what your favorite acne spot treatments are.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil works magic for me. Plus the smell. It smells kind of clean, I think. Thanks for this list Ashley!
